History: Founded in 1979 to conduct the Spring Thaw ™ Train Meet at the Allentown Fairgrounds Agricultural Hall, at the Allentown Fairgrounds, 17th and Chew St., Allentown, Pa., during the last full weekend in February.  The Spring Thaw has been held every year since then.  ATMA  began the First Frost ™ train meet at the same location in 1986 during the second weekend of November, and has also held this meet every year since.

Show Details: ATMA shows feature 625 tables, set up by 200 dealers, selling all scales of model trains and railroadiana exclusively.  Operating layouts, train races(O guage), and test tracks(all guages), and manufacturer displays are in place within the 50,000 sq ft, single level exhibition hall.  Each show is attended by 5000 to 7000  people during the Saturday and Sunday of the show weekend.  Parking at the shows is free, abundant and close to the entrances, with spaces for over 3000 cars. 

Table Availability: Two day tables(all tables are two day only) for shows are typically sold out a year in advance, during the show.  Preference is given to existing dealers, with remaining unclaimed tables sold first come after the show.  Sold out shows maintain a waiting list for tables, assigned as they become available.  To get on the waiting list, dealers must send the table registration request from the flyer, with full payment.  Refunds or credit are provided at the show to wait list dealers who don't get tables, and request not to remain on the waiting list.  Unoccupied tables are resold at the show after 9AM.  For table information see the show flyer posted on the Website, or call Greg Wetzel, 610-972-8343

Admission Tickets: Advance admission tickets are available by sending the completed flyer request and payment by mail with SASE, or from the several retail stores in Allentown. Pa. area selling tickets as listed in the 'ticket outlets link on the Website.
